I found Jude playing in P-yton's closet one morning.

Having a conversation with mommy.

We're packing and ready to go!

Snack time for the boys.

Playing outside on a chilly day.

Feeling sick poor baby. We're trying a honey and cinnamon remedy that will hopefully make baby boy feel better.

Loving his bath time.
Santa came early this year and Jude and Riley racked up! Both boys must have been really good all year. :)

My Surprise and 19 Weeks

So once again I'll be bragging about my kick ass husband. I turn 30 this year and the only thing I wanted was a night in a hotel, some shopping, and a pedicure. He was totally fine with this. My friend Erin also turned 30 this year, so we celebrated by getting separate hotel rooms so we could sleep in and not disturb each other. We order room service, stayed in our pj's, read magazines, talked, and had breakfast the next morning before heading home. (This was back in November.)It was a perfect gift and I felt so lucky to have a husband understand how important that night was to me. Little did I know that wasn't all he planned for my big 3-0.

Erin and Nina decided we should have a girls day to not only celebrate my birthday, but to be able to have adult time without any kiddies running around. We decided on lunch, some shopping, and ending it with a pedicure.

We had lunch at Chipolte (my choice:)), did a little shopping, then headed to the spa. Next door from the spa was a "Nothing Bundt Cakes" store so the girls grabbed desserts for our pedis.
Erin and Nina with their drinks and bundt cakes.

I was taste testing both of theirs.

Erin said she needed to get home and Nina (who was driving me so John could have the car with Jude for the afternoon) asked if we could stop at Nordstrom's Rack before bringing me home. It sounded totally fine so we headed that way and we ended up trying on all kinds of clothes and making our purchases.

When we pulled up to the house Nina asked if she could use the bathroom and we headed in. John was at the door and I saw some "Happy Birthday" balloons, which seemed really weird to me. He said Erin brought them over and I assumed it was from our "birthday" day. I asked where Jude was and he pointed towards the kitchen. When I walked into the kitchen alot of my friends and their kids were in there yelling "SURPRISE!!!"

I was absolutely speechless. It took me a minute for it all to sink in. Once I was able to lift out of my fog and realize this was reality, everyone started talking and telling me how John had been planning this since September and they all wanted to know if I was surprised. Uh, YEAH! I never had the slightest clue of what was going on. Everyone had brought food and drinks. John had told me that morning he was making a chili to freeze, so I didn't think it was weird he was cooking. Someone brought brie, dips, another white chili. John had bought the makings for smores to make using our fire pit outside. He ended the night by coming out with a m&m blizzard ice cream cake. Does this man know me or what?

My balloons

My oh so delicious cake.

Me and Erin celebrating. This girl did so well keeping all of her lies straight!!! Haha!

Everyone brought gifts, which was way too kind. Them just being there was gift enough for me. I got a few gift cards, a beautiful orchid, bath stuff, and this awesomely warm, fuzzy scarf.

Sabina took a few of these pictures at the party, but here's one she got of my sweet baby.
*heart melting*

It ended up being the most perfect night, surrounded by my Jude, my friends, and my husband who obviously adores me. After everyone left, I looked at him in disbelief and he said "You only turn 30 once.":) Love, love, love that man.

This & That

I am getting so bad at taking pictures, y'all. Jude used to sit still for me, now I can barely get a picture in and it's usually blurry or he's not even in it because he ran too fast. And when I have a lack of pictures, I don't blog as much. But here are some food pictures of our Baby and Momma Christmas play date. The camera was left on and died before I could take anymore pictures. Oops. Jude looked cute, by the way!
Catherine is the hostess with the mostess. We all brought different items, but she made a homemade mac &cheese and ham. It was fab!

She also had a whole spread for the kids. These reindeer pb&j sandwiches were a hit! She also had fruit, puffs, veggie pouches, yogurt, and apple juice for the kiddies. It was so awesome! (Catherine in red, is also the other mom due in May along with me :))

The yummy ham. I had like 5 slices.

Drink bin.

This was his shirt for the party.

Tonight Erin and Jackson came over for dinner. Jude and Jackson sat at the kiddie table. :) They are so stinkin precious.

Jude from the night of our Christmas party.

Play date at the mall. Jude's face is a bit blurry, but he had an awesome time with his friends Ms. S. and Jack. (All August babies!)

Aunt Amy sent Jude's Christmas present early and he loves it. :)

Playing outside

We have had a great week. I'm definitely looking forward to our weekend to just hang out and not do much. P-yton is still growing, moving, and keeping me sleeping and eating alot. Jude is into pulling up my shirt to look at my belly. I know he doesn't have any clue as to what is going on, but I think he notices my belly has grown. He's so cute. I love my little man. :)

Jude and 18 Weeks

Jude's newest obsession is empty boxes. He carries them all around the house and fills them with toys. I took pictures of a few boxes laying around the house, though I have thrown away much more than these few. :)

Carrying around the Zatarains box.

Trying to hold a box and read a book at the same time.

Happy baby

Cheese face (my fave!)

John and I are going through a temp struggle. He is always warm and likes to keep the heat low. I, however, am cold and I don't like when Jude's hands are cold in the mornings. We are constantly lowering and raising the temp. Finally I told him I could no longer stand anything below 67 and we would be having a serious conversation if that continued. I left him a reminder just in case he forgets. :) Needless to say, we've worked out an agreement. :)

We attended a Christmas party last night and had an amazing time! Jude took off when we got there and didn't stop until we left. This was taken before we left the house and it is the only picture we got with his face and outfit both showing. His eyes crack me up.

I made a pork roast and rice & gravy on this rainy and windy Sunday.

Jude eating his smoothie.

I found a new thing for Jude to eat for lunch. I think he's getting tired of his usual sandwich. He loves it! Now I have something to switch out for lunches during the week.

How far along: 18Weeks. Geez, this pregnancy is flying by.
Total weight gain: 1.5lbs

Maternity clothes: I'm about there. Jeans don't fit and shirts are starting to ride up a bit. I wore maternity jeans last night and they are still a little big, but when I tried on my regular jeans they wouldn't even zip.
Sleep: It's a love/hate relationship. I can no longer sleep on my stomach so I'm getting used to a new sleeping position.
Best Moment this week: Our Christmas party last night. So much fun!
Movement: Yes. This baby is moving around like crazy now. She/he woke me up at 5am this morning just kicking around. :) Such a great feeling.
Gender: Won't know for another 22 weeks!
Labor signs: Hopefully not for another 22 weeks.
Belly button: In
Cravings: Cookies
What I miss: I'm already mourning my one-on-one time with Jude. Love this boy.
Stretch Marks: None.
What baby is up to: Hanging out. Growing. Moving.
What I am looking forward to this week: We have a Christmas party for babies and moms this week that we've been planning for awhile. There will be crafts and gifts for the kids, as well as a white elephant gift exchange for moms. So excited for this!
