Easter Begg Hunt
Indianapolis has a great little shop for dogs called "Three Dogs Bakery". They bake their own special treats everyday. Riley loves this place because you can bring your dog in and they give away free treats. This morning, the bakery put on an Easter Begg Hunt. The cost was $5 per family which was donated to an organization for homeless dogs. They hid about 2,000 eggs full of treats and coupons for the bakery. Every dog could leave with 10 eggs, that way everyone was a winner. :) There were so many people/ dogs there. It was beautiful, though a little chilly. Riley found his 10 eggs pretty fast. He knew what he was doing.
Riley did not appreciate the bunny ears. (above) John and Riley getting ready for the whistle so we could start egg hunting! (below)

Art Fair
Tuesday night was our annual Art Fair. It was a big hit! The parents (of course) loved it. The kids did such an amazing job. This first picture is our Eiffel Towers.
I printed out all the pictures I took throughout the year and put them on my window. It's still dark b/c I just got to work.

New Car
We bought a new used car last week. We are very excited about it. John has his Jeep, but it's really old and has alot of miles on it. We wanted something that he could travel back and forth to Quantico in. It's a 2-door and that's the only thing we don't like about it. However, it has the miles and it was the price we wanted. We held our breath as we filled up the gas tank last night and were really surprised! It costs about $10 more to fill up than my car. That's very good news to us. :) Anyway, we're still waiting on the FBI call to let us know when he'll be leaving. Yesterday was a gross day. It rained all day long. Today is much better. John made me some yummy pancakes and we're about to go work out. The time change is kicking my butt though!

Eh.
Nothing, I mean NOTHING has been going on around here. It's to cold to go outside and I'm over being inside watching tv. We're just waiting for the FBI to finish up the back round check. All this waiting is driving me crazy. Or maybe it's the weather making me a little crazy. Not sure. I just want some kind of plan for the future. It's been so unknown for over a year now, I would like some kind of stability. I know John is feeling a little anxious as well. I can't even imagine being in his shoes but I just stay supportive. I am so ready for Spring. At least the time changes in 2 weeks, so hopefully the weather will change to. I'm also starting to feel down hearing about all of the horrible stories in the world. Between Haiti, Chile, and all of the people hurting in this economy, it's enough to drive someone nuts with the guilt that they can't change it all. It's so hard to hear all those stories sometimes. We are so lucky for what we have. I feel very grateful that we have such amazing families to turn to if we needed. Well, that's about it. There isn't anything going on. John is making a gumbo and I'm still in my pajama's. Just lounging around today.

Snow, snow, go away....
If this picture doesn't tell you how much snow we have, then you have a problem!! Haha! Look at this! I leave Cancun to come back to THIS! Are you kidding me??? Oh well, it is supposed to start snowing again tomorrow for the next 4 days. *sigh*.
Starting Monday for the next 2 and a half weeks, every class at school will be a country. I choose France, because let's face it, I love Paris. I am so excited about this. Every child will have a passport (I have already starting making those) and we will be learning how to speak French. I'll make crescent rolls and call my kids "couillions". We will make Euros and play market. Anyway, it's going to be a blast and I can't wait! I decided to put my door together today and this is the outcome. I am going to add "Bienvenue" in red letters coming down the side of the tower. I'm also taking pictures of the kids looking up and I'm going to add them on the green at the bottom so it looks like they are looking up at the tower. haha.
