And I'm back..

from Lafayette. It was a great trip, as always. I ate at Antler's 4 times, and yet it still doesn't seem enough. I could literally eat at that place 5 days a week and never get tired of it. It's the BEST. FOOD. EVER. I'm trying to think of the other food I ate. Crawfish etouffee' and roast and bisque. Stuff like that. I got to spend time with my siblings (all 4 of them), which I love. Watched a few 'House Hunters' with the fam. Got to see a couple of my aunts, my godchild, Pa-B, and some cousins. Hung out with my parents as well.

Of course, while I was gone, John got maced and had to participate in the bull-of-the-ring. He's still alive and kickin so I'm not too worried about what the pounding to the head could have done to his brain. Though I am a little worried because he keeps sending me links to rental houses with either 1 bedroom or doesn't allow pets. It must be a brain injury because I know he's alot smarter than that and because I believe it's a brain injury I will not kick his @#$. I love that man. Truly. I do. I'm serious.

Speaking of rental houses, this weekend we will be spending alot of hours together looking for a house. One moment..

God, grant me the serenity
To accept the husband I cannot change;
Courage to keep my mouth shut;
And wisdom to know that I will eventually get my way.

Amen. Anyway, I was saying how this weekend we will be house hunting. John and I have different opinions on many things, houses being one. He sent me a listing to a house today that's in a bad neighborhood, has wood paneling, but has a pool. I send him houses that are in great family neighborhoods, coffee shops and dog parks nearby, but no pool. And he doesn't like them, because they have no pool. Get my drift? Another problem about my dear, sweet husband, is that he can't make a decision. We may pick a house, but he'll want to wait for God knows why. I have made the decision that come Tuesday I will be sending out a rental application, whether he knows it or not. We will hopefully have a house by the end of next week. Today is exactly 3 weeks until he graduates. Can you believe it? Where did the months go??

It's cold here, y'all. Did you hear me? It's cold. I was in jeans and a long sleeve shirt today. It's too soon for all of this. I'm not ready. Well, I'm tired and ready to head to bed. Good night!
