Random Pictures

Jude eating chicken and mac & cheese. He ate it two nights in a row and devoured every last bite.

"Almost done, Mom!"

We babysat Landon for an hour one morning. The boys had a good time playing together.

Jude and I had a mall play date, but we stopped to eat lunch first.

John keeps asking how we have some many dishes lately. This is his answer. We now have a baby boy who eats and snacks constantly.

So I found myself feeding Jude and picking stuff out. I need to stop this!

This is Jude's second bowl of crawfish etouffee'. This kid went to town on it.

Apparently I was feeding him to slowly and he decided to use his hands.

8 Weeks

Jude and I had a date night at a Chinese restaurant. It was delish! He ate egg soup, crab rangoon (spelled wrong?), chicken, and rice. He loved it and went to town eating.

Yesterday was my first appointment to check out our baby. John wasn't able to make it so I took my friend Erin and we laughed alot.
Yep, it's a healthy baby!

My precious baby. Bean is waving to Momma.

Jude checking out his new sibling. He wasn't really interested.
Today we had a play date at the park with some friends. We had a great time! Jude really enjoyed himself.
Enjoying his lunch of chicken and grapes.

Checking out the toys on the stroller.

Jude and Ella sharing a snack.

Pushing a stroller all over the place.

Catherine and Jack enjoying their play time. Catherine also just found out she is pregnant, so that makes 3 moms who have August babies that will now have May babies.

"I'm trying to play, Mom."

Erin watched Jude for me for about an hour Sunday and her husband took this picture of them reading. :)

Some Changes

We have made a few changes to the house the past month. I am finally getting around to blogging about them.

"Just a eatin' my snack, Mom."

We moved the bookcase from the den into our bedroom and made a play area for Jude. The toys were taking over the house!

Another view...

He is getting tall enough to reach all the c.d.'s, so I moved them to the top and used the bottom shelves for books. I also made him a little reading area. It's quite cozy and we've snuggled up a few times to read books there.

Gumbo! It was so good!

Jude enjoying his new play area.

Jude loving gumbo.

While John and I were in Cape Cod, Mom went to town on decorating my house. :) These are the new dining room chair covers. I love it!

She also made matching pillows for the bench.

We had a huge white area above the couch that needed to be filled. Mom and I went to a fabric store and got the rings and fabric and she put it all together and on the wall, so it was waiting for me when we got back from our trip.

Jude having a good lunch.

Today has been a pretty good day so far. Jude was up at 5am, but thankfully went down for a nap from 8-11am. I slept the whole 3 hours as well. Erin took Jude for a couple of hours so I could scrub my house from top to bottom. Every room has been vacuumed, mopped, dusted, and cleaned. Laundry and dishes were cleaned and put away. It feels so nice!

Tomorrow is my 8 week ultrasound so I will update after!

Jude is obsessed with this blanket and this is his new way of telling me he's ready for a nap. Haha. I love this kid.

Rough Weekend / 7 Weeks

All week Jude had a cough and runny nose. It was fine Thursday, but by Friday when my last blog said "growth spurt?", it was a fever and ear infection. I took him to the doctor Friday and he was put on antibiotics. Saturday and Sunday he threw up anything he ate and wouldn't even let us get near him with liquids. Sunday afternoon was a bit better, but then John was complaining of feeling sick (as well as my friend Erin). We babysat Jackson all day Sunday so they could move into their new house. Last night John was sick as a dog all night and Jude woke up feeling much better and he's starting to eat (thank goodness!!). I'm so ready to have a healthy household and just hoping me and Bean don't catch it.
Poor baby wanted mommy all day Friday.

On the way to doctor's office. He felt so bad.

John kept talking about his sloppy joe sandwich he couldn't wait to have for lunch yesterday. He carefully cut up avocado and got his bread ready...then this happened. We laughed so hard we had tears rolling down our face. He is still talking about the sloppy joe sandwich that could have been and he ruined our rug. Haha!

Jackson and I had a Target date yesterday while John stayed home with Jude.

How far along: 7 Weeks.
Total weight gain:  I'll find out on Monday.

Maternity clothes: Not even close.
Sleep: It changes everyday.
Best Moment this week: Erin moving closer to our house. She was only about 10 minutes away, but now she's like 5. Just down the street! Otherwise, it's been a rough week(end).
Movement: Of course not.
Gender: Won't know for another 33 weeks!
Labor signs: Hopefully not for another 33 weeks.
Belly button: Still stretched out a little from Jude.
Cravings: Nothing! Nothing, nothing, nothing. Morning/afternoon/evening/middle-of-the-night sickness has hit. I checked my journal when I was pregnant with Jude and I felt the same way that same week.
What I miss: I'm already mourning my one-on-one time with Jude.
Stretch Marks: None.
What baby is up to: Hanging out. Growing.
What I am looking forward to this week: A healthy household.

Judebug

Jude and Jackson sharing a snack.
Jackson, Jude, and Ms. S. on a playdate.

Jude is wanting to take his afternoon naps with me on the couch lately. I am happy to oblige.

This kid loves his new tunnel!

Lunch at Wholefoods.

I woke up sick as a dog one morning and Erin brought me greasy McDonald's. I immediately felt better.

Jude is obsessed with anything that opens and closes. No exception to this kitchen with the pantry door.

Enjoying his ham sandwich.

Another nap afternoon.

We met Erin and Jackson at a park one morning. Jude was on the go!

Of course he found wheels to play with.

Jude and Jackson playing.

Jambalaya, ham, and strawberries (not shown) for lunch. This kid puts a hurtin' on jambalaya.

He loves his swing!

Another lunch of ham, cheese, and strawberries with his Justin Beiber hair. Haha. This was taken right after a 3 hour nap.

Jude and I playing.
I'm able to blog this morning because Jude has been sleeping since 8pm last night....over 12.5 hours. Growth spurt?
