Kare Bear Visits!!

Karie, Reed, and Reynolds came to Indianapolis to visit. They got here Friday afternoon and left this morning. It was so good seeing them, I was missing my Kare Bear and baby Reynolds. The last time I saw them was 2 months ago and he has grown! We had a great time. We shopped, ate, and talked alot. I'm so glad they were able to make it up here to visit and I can't wait to see them again!! Reynolds shirt has little guitars on it. It was so cute on him!
My Kare bear and I. I'm gonna miss her!
John and Riley hopped in this picture. John was such a huge help with all the cleaning, cooking, and being where I needed him to be. (I needed someone to keep checking my roast). SO, all in all, it was a wonderful weekend and I am super excited I get tomorrow off!!! Yay!!!

Yoga

Hello Everyone!! This past week at work was a really stressful one (most of you already know that), and I needed a break. I decided to take a yoga class. It was really awesome. I wasn't sure I would enjoy it because I don't like being in a class, or exercising. There isn't much to yoga that makes me think "I want to sweat and be really sore tomorrow". It just seems like alot of work. Anyway, someone told me it was more about breathing. So I decided to try it. They were right, it is all about breathing. It was dark and warm in the class with about 9 people. I was actually relaxed. If the pose was to hard, I could just lay down and close my eyes and breath. I left feeling relaxed and all my frustrations were gone. So me, Michelle, is for once able to tell people to try something with some exercise. I wasn't even sore but I went to work a little happier today.

Karie, Reed, and baby Reynolds are here to visit! I am so excited. We already had dinner and everyone is winding down for the night. That only means that Karie and I are getting geared up for a few more hours of talking without the guys around. I'll blog more with pictures later!!!

Classroom

I am almost finished with my classroom! I have spent many, many hours on it. Most of you know I am not the creative one. I like to look at something that exists and I'm good to go. This whole classroom was bare and white. I had no idea what I was going to do. My class is the Lions. I got to pick the animal and I didn't want anything like tigers, fish, ladybugs, or bears. I want to have the most fierce class (and I'm afraid I will and that statement will come back and bite me on the butt!!!) However, I still can't get away from loving airplanes. *sigh* I do love them and wanted them all over my class. But that wasn't possible. So here are some pictures of my classroom.
I most certainly did NOT make this. I had the blue paper and white border (for the clouds) and I knew I wanted an airplane. Another teacher did this for me and thank goodness because it is so much better than anything I could have done!! There will be little clouds around it with the kids names on them.
Again, I did everything but the lion himself. That other teacher is a serious artist!! Behind where I am taking this picture is a parent bulletin board right outside the classroom that says "I'm not lion". Haha get it?But this is the door to the classroom. Ok, moving on...
This is just the other side of the classroom. The birthday board and letter/number board and chalk board. That little kid is eating snack and doesn't speak English.
In the back area is my rug and reading area. The big blue container that the kids are playing in is called a sensory table. Apparently ever room in every classroom across the US has one now. It's full of beans or corn or water. It's been "proven" to help kids calm down and feel "centered". My kids just like to knock the beans out. My little calendar is in the backround. (The green thing) I made that whole thing and I was very proud of it. Everything is straight and velcroed. We start school on Monday and I'm a little nervous only because of all the new kids I'm going to have that I haven't met yet, but I'm excited because I got my schedule and I'm done every day at 4:30. Yay!!

Other than that, this weekend I'm going to a baby shower and doing some lesson plans. That's about it!!

FINALLY!!!!!!

Ok, we are up and running!! I just talked to best buy and they have to send my computer in AGAIN and I won't see it for another 2 weeks now. Thank goodness we got this one. Anyway, some pictures from vacation... This is us walking on the beach about 10 minutes before he proposed.
We stopped to look at the area where the turtle eggs were. It just so happened that John plopped down there and proposed right there. We took a picture about a minute after he asked me. It was so awesome. We had the beach behind us, we were laughing and I couldn't wait to show off the picture! Well, I accidentally deleted it. The only picture on my camera that was priceless to me got deleted. I was in tears that night. (Yes, I deleted it on he same day we got engaged).
This pic was (again) that same day and we didn't notice we posed alike until later. That was kind of funny!
We all went out for dinner that night and took family photos. Johns sister, brother-in-law, and niece had all left a few days before so they weren't in the picture, but we had a great time. I love the beach!
Thank goodness we took other pictures together that same day!! So now we have this one framed instead of the one I wish I could frame, but I won't dwell on that anymore! We're both really excited about getting married next year. Right now, we're not doing too much planning, just getting addresses together and enjoying our 3 nights a week together. Today was parent/teacher meeting day. It went really well. Parents have already started e-mailing the director to say they like me (thank goodness), so I'm happy about that. We also finally got a computer (sorry mom, not a dell : ))Other than that, just enjoying our little time together. I'll take pictures of my classroom and post that hopefully tomorrow. See you later!

At last!

Ok this will be quick, but I still haven't gotten my computer back (!!!!) and I am NOT happy about it. But, John and I did buy another computer and my johnboy hooked it all up for me!! So yay! I finally have a computer, but we're going out to eat so I will post all my pictures and whats been going on when I have time.
