Monday-Wednesday

It would seem Jude and I had a busy week, but he's been napping between 5-6 hours a day and these outings are between those naps.

Monday we met up with Erin, Michelle, Jackson, and David at Chipolte. We had a fabulous lunch, the hung outside in the shade for play time.
Jude is just starting to pull himself up. This was taken a few seconds after he pulled himself up on the file cabinet then let go. I love that smile.
Tuesday morning we had an appointment with the carseat inspector. He installed Jude's big boy carseat!!! Jude loves it. Mommy is still getting used to it. It got to the point where I could no longer carry the infant seat because he was too heavy. He also stopped napping in the car and was growing right out of it!
After leaving the fire station (where the inspection takes place), we headed to the local farmer's market to meet Erin, Jackson, Melissa, and Landon. Jude chowed down on some apricots before we headed to a nearby baby store. Soon after we headed home for a much needed nap.

After his nap, I dropped him off with Erin for 2 hours and I went home and scrubbed our house. It was so nice having time to just clean and not have to stop.
 Yay Jude!!!
You did it, Buddy!!! I can't believe you're pulling yourself up!!
Jude had a rough night Tuesday night. He cried for hours and nothing soothed him. It finally dawned on me at 3:30am that he was being clingy and needed to be touching me to be ok. That happens most of the day, but not really at night. Against my better judgment (and dreading to tell John the next morning), I brought Jude into bed with me. Within 2 minutes he was curled up next to me fast asleep. We both slept until 6:30am. It was wonderful. I now see why parents co-sleep. However, we have our issues with it so we're going to keep him in his own room, but it was so nice snuggling with my baby boy.

This was taking right after he woke up next to me. *swoon*
Wednesday I took Jackson for a few hours so Erin could get things done. (We're doing this trade off thing with the kids.) Jackson and Jude had a great time. Jude woke from his nap at 11:30 and was back in bed asleep by 1:30. We all had lunch, played, went for a walk, then it was nap time.
Once I put Jude down in his crib, I read to Jackson for a bit and then he fell asleep.
Our mall just opened a huge new area. It has a playground and lots of outdoor seating. Jude and I did a walk through yesterday evening just to see what all the fuss was about. It was really cool and we'll be heading that way to check it out soon!
Today has been good. Erin and I met at Target at 8am to do some quick grocery shopping. The boys were still in their jammies and I wish I would have taken a picture. We got home and Jude went right down for a nap. John will be home in 2 hours!!!!

Tomorrow we have a lunch date with Ms. S at Chipolte (where else) and Erin and I got babysitters so we could go see MAGIC MIKE!!! We'll be first in line, thankyouverymuch.

An Ordinary Day

I got the idea to photograph an ordinary day in our life from Baby Rabies. I thought it was cool being able to watch how her day progressed and I decided to try it. Of course I had to remember to take pictures. She took a picture every hour, but I did it a little different. Anyway, this is usually what our day looks like...

5:45am:
Jude awake. Bottle, than playtime. (Too damn early for a picture.)

6:00am:
Playing and getting into things he shouldn't.
 7:45am-8:15am:
Breakfast
He gets the oatmeal, I need get the donuts.

 8:15am-9:15am:
Playtime. This box is his new favorite toy.
 9:30am:
Time for a nap.
 10:00am:
Jude is napping and now it's time for Momma to nap.
 12:00pm:
Jude and I just woke from a nap and now he's playing while I get ready for our lunch date.
 1:00pm:
Lunch date with Sabina.
 2:15pm:
Walking around Target to kill time. (I don't buy a thing.)
 3:00pm:
Heading home, Jude is yawning and rubbing his eyes.

3:20pm:
Naptime
 4:45pm-5:45pm:
Play date with Jackson. (As well as eat dinner.)
6:30pm:
Evening walk with my two boys.
 7:15pm:
Bath time!
 7:30pm:
Bedtime routine and a little peek-a-boo play.
 7:45pm:
Bedtime
(I took this picture in the dark, I couldn't even see him, and it came out super cute!)
8:30pm:
Snack for Mommy then bedtime shortly after.

This is an ordinary day in the life of Michelle and Jude. John is still off saving the world. :) Jude is feeling much better and we're excited to start having play dates again this week.
A few quick phone pictures...
Jude and his babysitter after I returned from running errands.

Eating Riley's bone. I took it away right after taking this picture. :)

Jude playing with the toy Parrain gave him.

Hurricane Jude hits once again...

#17!!!

Jude was playing in the tupperware cabinet. He then turns to me and you can hear the whining I have been experiencing Every. Single. Day. This kid is clinging to me like nothing I've ever seen!

This first picture best describes our week. Jude was super sick with a fever, runny nose, and congestion. He was fussy, clingy, and exhausted everyday. John has been in Miami, so Jude and I were at it alone. My silver lining through the week was the fact that Jude was taking a 2-3 hr morning AND afternoon nap. So I was napping as well.

He refused to eat the first few days and would be so mad if I took him off my hip. He wanted to be attached to me 24/7.

Getting himself stuck.

Darkness in his room!

Playing with me

Starting to feel better!

Looking in the kiddie mirror at Target.

Playing with the camera.

Riley getting ready for the food Jude drops.

Jude finishing up his mashed potatoes and hamburger steak.

Eggs for breakfast!! Feeling good for the first time in a week!

Trying to stand up.

He has learned he can get into cabinets now.

Jude loves his brother.

I got the tail end of Jude and Riley. Jude is obsessed with Riley, but Riley...not so much.
A video of Jude...nothing important. :)

Once again, Comcast sucks and we have been having lots of internet problems. You would think after a few house visits and numerous phone calls, it would be fixed. But no, it's not. Except today so far. I'm taking advantage of it and blogging!

Jude at his 9 month well visit. He's 22.5 lbs and 30 inches long.

Play date with Jackson

I took him to the mall one afternoon to get some of his energy out and we met a very nice mom and her baby, who was also born in Aug. We're meeting them again today.

Jude decided he was a big boy and didn't need a nap all day. This is him at dinner. He could barely keep his eyes open. Haha.

"Good Morning!"
Saturday morning we headed to a park for their yearly Pet-pa-looza. It was all dog related with food and entertainment for the kids. Obviously pets were welcome. :) We had a great time for about an hour and then Jude just took a turn for the worse. He got really hot and couldn't seem to pick his head up off me. We immediately went home and took his temperature, which was 101. He went right down for a nap and slept most of the day. :(
Me and my boys

Our family

Jude playing with his toys while daddy stood in line to get us lunch.

View from our picnic area.
My one goal this weekend was to organize and label. (I love those two words!!) I pulled out all our containers, as well as purchased new ones, and Jude's small clothes, blankets, bibs, anything newborn, and baby toys he's outgrown and packed it all away. It took a few hours, but everything is organized and his dresser has been restocked.

Looking cool during lunch with Momma and Daddy.

Jude's card for John. It took 3 of us to get Jude's footprints.

He likes to hang on to his bouncer and play.
Jude has recently started crawling, though he now prefers to scoot.
Scooting. (The noise at the end is the vacuum being turned on. That noise scares Jude so I had to put the camera down.)
