39 Weeks

*WARNING: I am not in the best mood today...*

How far along: 39 weeks/ 9 1/2 months pregnant/ Full Term
Total weight gain: 31lbs total.
Maternity clothes: Nothing fits. Even John's shirts are too short.
Sleep: It changes everyday. Sometimes I sleep all night and sometimes I'm up most of the night.
Best Moment this week: My parents arrival. My 4.0. And my doctor's appointment, though now I know it doesn't mean anything being in "early labor". That sh!t can last weeks.
Movement: Not alot.
Gender: Boy!
Labor signs: I've had them all week long. And yet, no baby.
Belly Button: Out unless there is a contraction.
Cravings: Not in a food mood these days.
What I miss: My skinny face. Also, my feet and legs are swollen everyday now. I'm ready for that to be over with.
Stretch Marks: No stretch marks yet except the dark line below and above my belly button.

What baby is up to: Coming down to the wire, your baby weighs around seven to eight pounds and measures 19 to 21 inches. Those measurements won't change much from now on, but his brain is still growing at an astonishing rate, a pace that will continue for the first three years of life. His pink skin has now turned whitish (even babies who'll eventually have darker skin appear whitish now — they haven't yet developed pigment). His head may have dropped into your pelvis by now, which makes your breathing easier but walking harder*** I copy and paste 'what baby is up to' from a baby website. The weight and length are just an average and I really have no idea how much he weighs. At my last appointment the doctor said he's measuring right on schedule so I'm assuming he is going to be somewhat of an average baby. No one really knows until he's born.*** :)

What I am looking forward to this week: Hanging out with my parents. Meeting my son. And doctor appt. tomorrow where he hopefully will accidentally break my water or something. :)

I'm in no mood to have my picture taken, so here's a belly shot.

 Riley is ready to meet his brother. When baby is here we'll have a "Who Wore it Better" contest. :)
